One of the hardest parts about being a volunteer is having to let it go. Tonight at evening meeting it was announced that two crews are needed for gutting, several people are needed in the 7th Ward, and the St. Bernard projects still needs volunteers --- positions we were all willing and eager to fill, but unable to. Common Ground is losing hundreds of people tomorrow and there will be a hole where they once were. And in just a few days I will be sitting in a classroom instead of helping out.
I want to come back. I'm not sure when. Maybe Mardi Gras, maybe spring break, maybe summer, who knows. Hopefully I will.
Until then, though, I will be doing a whole lot of nothing. And that's a hard pill to swallow.
In other news, I realized all the pictures I've taken suck. Oh well.

that's a shame they're losing all that manpower. hopefully more groups like CG will be moving in
